Dews Coaches ‘gear up’ for Chariots of Fire relay race
5 Aug 2021
This year the 1.7 mile relay race is supporting East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA), a valuable life-saving charity that provides helicopter emergency medical service to the people of East Anglia. The funds raised from the event will help the charity expand its life-saving CPR and defibrillator training.
The Chariots of Fire has become a popular annual event in Cambridgeshire which Dews Coaches are delighted to support.
Not only are we entering two teams to the event, we are also donating our services to help transport the 100 plus volunteers in and out of the city on the day free of care.
Katie Dew, Commercial Manager at Dews Coaches, said: “The East Anglia Air Ambulance is such a vital charity, this is why we are providing the volunteer transport for Chariots of Fire to show our support. We provide bus services for rural and isolated communities so understand how important an air ambulance is in an emergency. We are really looking forward to being there on the day and have entered two teams into the race – we like a bit of friendly competition here at Dews and nobody wants to come home as the slow-coaches!”
