Hitting the slopes?
5 Feb 2020
With Christmas and New Year out of the way, trips to Thursford, Christmas market excursions and countless company Christmas parties done and dusted for another year - it means that Ski season is upon us. A popular time with our drivers as the lucky ones get to take our customers through stunning scenery, to great locations and get a few days off on the slopes themselves!
We take groups to destinations such as Cavales in Italy and Crans-Montana, Switzerland. These jobs are highly prized amongst our coach drivers and with everyone trained for driving in the environment and jostling to go, sometimes it comes down to pulling names from a hat!
Our drivers have to complete snow chain training and have a sound knowledge of European travel, using the Eurotunnel, ferry and crossing borders as a passenger carrying vehicle.
We have been doing these trips for almost three decades and our experience helps make them a great success. We have picked up a few tips though over the years though; such as the driver can’t ski after the second to last day – because if they break any bones we need time to fly out a replacement driver! (Yes, this has actually happened before!) .
